It summarizes the achievements of the development of ancient Greek mathematics. It is not only the most precious legacy of ancient Greek civilization, but also the most valuable asset of human civilization. Its popularity is second only to the Bible. The version purchased by the University of Macau Library was a reprint printed in Vicenza, Italy in 1491. It was revised with reference to early Latin translations and a variety of newly translated Arabic materials. Its characteristics are that the decorative border on the first page of the first edition was changed from Arabic-style patterns to Cupid, animals and plants, and the font was changed from the Gothic font of the first edition to Roman font. 121 23
