Recalibrated Edition of Tang Wencui Year: 1524 Call Number: RC04-2-01 Previously collected by late Qing Guangdong bibliophile Xin Yaowen (1876-1928), this edition features exquisite craftsmanship and superior printing quality. As recorded in Xin’s colophon, he encountered a Wang Qisun-annotated and Jiang Yuan-collated edition of Tang Wencui at a Beijing bookshop in 1907 (Guangxu 33rd year), but declined to purchase it due to the exorbitant price. He subsequently transcribed Wang and Jiang’s annotations onto this copy. The text contains red ink corrections collated against the 1139 Lin’an Prefecture Southern Song edition and yellow ink emendations referencing the mid-Ming Zhang Dalun and Xiang Xi edition. With annotations from Wang, Jiang, and Xin, the manuscript presents a striking chromatic contrast of scholarly commentary. This book was recorded in the second batch of National Catalogue of Precious Ancient Books in 2009. 191 35
