VeriGuide -- A Tool for Detecting Plagiarism (2011/11/28)

Dear All,
We are pleased to announce that we have obtained a trial license for the plagiarism detection tool: VeriGuide. It is developed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong and serves the academic community for assignment collection, similarity detection, and readability assessment. Please try out this system at https://services.veriguide.org/veriguide/.
To request and to set up your VeriGuide account for trial, please send your UM email address with your full name to us at lib_ref@umac.mo. You will then receive from us an email with your login ID and a temporary password. Please also refer to the attached User Manual for details.
In order to evaluate the effectiveness of this tool, we would like to collect your feedback of testing VeriGuide. Please send us the comments to lib_ref@umac.mo on or before 16th December 2011.
Also for your information, the Library is subscribing to Turnitin, another tool for evaluating the originality of student’s work. Please visit our webpage at http://library.umac.mo/html/services/reference/turnitin_en.html for your reference.
