Dear All,

You are cordially invited to join the activities of the “Exhibition on Macau Archives and Documentation of Ming and Qing Dynasties” and the “Forum on the Preservation and Usage of Macau Archives and Documentation”, which are held to celebrate the 60th anniversary of PRC and 10th anniversary of the establishment of Macau SAR.

The activities are jointly organized by The First Historical Archives of China, Macao Foundation, Macau Documentation and Information Society, and the University of Macau Library. 

The activities in detail are introduced as follows:

(1) Exhibition on Macau Archives and Documentation of Ming and Qing Dynasties
Opening Ceremony : 20th January 2010, 6:00 p.m. (Wednesday)
Venue : Anthony S.W. Lau Exhibition Hall of UM Library
Exhibition period : 20th – 30th January 2010, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Summary of Display Items: The First Historical Archives of China provides a variety of invaluable archives, of which some are exhibited to the public for the first time. The exhibition will also display some Macau rare books which are provided by Macao St. Joseph Seminary, Macao Central Library, and UM Library. 

(2) Forum on the Preservation and Usage of Macau Archives and Documentation
Venue : Meeting Room of UM Library’s Document Centre 
Date & Time : 20th January 2010, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
