Dear All,
In order to support faculty members and students in their teaching, learning and research, the Library has already acquired a substantial number of electronic databases. To further develop along this line, the Library constantly liaises with database vendors to have their new products tried out by our users before we decide to purchase them or not. The following databases are the latest ones.
(1) Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection -- It contains the full text of about 130 reference books, including over 1 million entries across a variety of subject areas. It offers the very best in quick reference information together with authoritative, in-depth articles by world-famous authors. It also offers excellent functionality, and a wide range of additional materials such as maps, illustrations and timelines. Please try it out at www.oxfordreference.com until 14th March 2006.
(2) Chinese Electronic Periodicals Service (CEPS) -- It provides online access to full text of about 1,500 journals in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, applied sciences as well as life science and medicine. You can try it out athttp://www.ceps.com.tw/ec/echome.aspx until 12th March 2006.
