Library Orientation Session with New Academic Staff (2006/02/23)

Dear All,
The Library has arranged an orientation session with the new academic staff who have joined the University since September 2005. The time is 3:00 pm on Wednesday 1 March 2006 and the venue is Orientation Room I (RC02), Lobby Floor, UM International Library. As there are still some vacant spots, we would like to invite you to join as well. Apart from having a good opportunity for you to meet some of our new colleagues from other departments and to share your library experience, there will be a number of special topics of library usage that may be of interest to you. Some of these topics are --
How to obtain a journal article from a Hong Kong university library;
How to access the library catalog and electronic database when you are at home or overseas;
How to use the "MetaFind" -- a "one-stop shopping" software that can help you to search a number of electronic databases simultaneously;
How to recommend a book or a journal title to the Library for purchase.
