"Scholarly Communication Futures, Digital Publishing and Open Access Opportunities in the 21st Century"

The digital information environment has a great impact on the creation of, access to, and distribution of knowledge and information. What is the future of scholarly communication? What roles are digital publishing and open access going to play in the scholarly communication in the 21st Century? 

These are very important issues facing the academia these days all over the world. To learn some of the answers, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University Library will jointly organize a seminar on the captioned topic to be held on Wednesday, 16 May at 9:30 am at Auditorium II, University Library. 

The speaker will be Mr. Colin Steele, Emeritus Fellow, The Australian National University, and a world-class expert and speaker in this area. For Mr. Steele’s brief CV, please click into http://anulib.anu.edu.au/about/steele/.
