In the morning of April 14, 2021, delegation of Fudan University visited the University of Macau. The delegation included Prof. Yang Guanghui of the University Library/Institute for Preservation and Conservation of Chinese Ancient Books of Fudan University, Ms. Yuan Yuhong, the Librarian Assistant of Fudan University Library, and Dr. Jin Ying of Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of Fudan University. Dr. Wu Jianzhong (Librarian of UM), Dr. Raymond Wong (Associate Library of UM), Mr. Billy Leung (Assistant Librarian of UM), and Mr. Wilson Hoi (Functional head of the Special Collection of the UM Library) accompanied the guests to visit the UM Gallery, UM Library, Rare Books Collection Room, the Manuscript Corner, etc., and had an in-depth discussion and exchanges with the guests. Prof. Yang Guanghui introduced the research progress and achievements of Fudan University in document protection and digital humanities. Dr. Wu Jianzhong reported on some specific practices of the University of Macau in transformation and innovation in recent years. The two parties agreed that they would take advantage of their respective profession expertise and resources to strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and reach a mutual agreement to achieve cooperation in talent exchange and training, indexing technology research, digital humanities research, cultural exhibitions, joint laboratory for the protection of paper cultural relics, etc.
