Almost 100 information and media literacy programs were held in 2021 by the UM Library
To cultivate students’ information awareness and improve their ability to retrieve, obtain, evaluate and utilize literature and information, the UM Library implemented an information literacy education program in 2021. A total of 80 online and offline workshops were held, with a total of 2,317 participants. In addition, a series of library media literacy workshops were also held in November and December 2021, with students as guest speakers. The UM Library held almost 100 information and media literacy programs in 2021.
The program curriculums were based on the teaching content of professors in each faculty, combined with library resources. Unit courses were designed with different subjects, such as selection of research topics, collection of research resources, bibliographic management, thesis citation format, plagiarism checking, etc.
