Collaborative research project between the University of Macau Library and the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Library (Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology Information and Development Strategy) entitled  “Research on the Driving Force Effect of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Environment in Universities and Scientific Research Institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” has been unanimously accepted by the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan Project Expert Group. This project was funded by the Science and Technology Program of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and its research purpose was to analyze the innovation and entrepreneurship environment of various cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including the industrial and economic situation, government, universities and research institutions in support of innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, policies and infrastructure, as well as the driving force effects. The University of Macau Library was mainly responsible for investigating and analyzing innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and Macao. Billy Leung, Manson Ip, and Molly Lei took part in the project on behalf of the University of Macau Library.
