On the afternoon of June 15, 2023, Mr. Li Mengli, the Secretary of the Party Committee of NSLC, Mr. Han Tao, the Director of the Science and Technology Management Department, and Mrs. Weng Yanqin, the Deputy Director of the Information Servicing Department visited the University of Macau Library. After visiting the University Gallery, the Rare Collection Room, and the Museum of Art, the delegation held a discussion with Dr. Wu Jianzhong, the University Librarian of the University of Macau, Dr. Raymond Wong, the Associate University Librarian, Mr. Billy Leung, the Assistant University Librarian, and the Functional Heads Priscilla Pun, Stephen Lei and Henry Yang on issues such as library resource development, library space construction, innovation in scientific research support services.

The delegation of NSLC shared their experience in effectively supporting national and Chinese Academy of Sciences technology decision-making, providing first-class information and knowledge services for crucial technology issues, playing the role of a research think tank, and using big data and intelligent technology to transform information service models and to improve service efficiency in the context of global technology innovation competition and the national strategy of high-level technology self-reliance. The University of Macau Library introduced their institutional repository construction, patent services, and active participation in international library professional cooperation. After in-depth discussions, the both sides proposed to strengthen mutual visits and further carry out exchanges and cooperation.
