On July 25, Party Secretary Jiang Yunzhong of Tsinghua University Library, Deputy Director Dou Tianfang of Tsinghua University Library, Zhao Yang and Zhao Shang of the Information Technology Department, visited the University of Macau Library. After visiting the UM Gallery, the Rare Book Collection and the UM Museum of Art, Secretary Jiang and the delegation of the Tsinghua University Library had a discussion with the UM Librarian Wu Jianzhong, Associated Librarian Raymond Wong, Assistant Librarian Billy Leung, Functional Head Priscilla Pun, Functional Head Stephen Lei, Functional Head Wilson Hoi, and Functional Head Henry Yang.
Secretary Jiang Yunzhong said that this was the first visit after Tsinghua University Library and UM Library signing an all-round cooperation agreement and he expected the two parties to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation. Deputy Director Dou Tianfang shared the achievements and valuable experience of the Tsinghua University Library in data services, system research and development, open resource construction, and the role of the library in university data integration, while Wu Jianzhong and Stephen Lei of UM introduced the progress of the UM Library in the construction of scholar pages, open data services, and active participations in international library cooperation. The two parties also conducted in-depth exchanges on various issues such as collection construction, information construction and innovative services.
