Zhang Ligang, Deputy Director of the Administrative Affairs Bureau of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, and Bai Yan, Director of Zhuhai Archives, visited the University of Macau on September 7, 2023, and were warmly received by Annie Chan, Director of Office of Administration of the University of Macau, and Wu Jianzhong, Librarian of UM.
On behalf of the University of Macau, Annie Chan delivered a welcome speech and introduced the latest situation of the University, looking forward to the strengthening of cooperation between the two parties in administrative affairs and archives management in the future. Zhang Ligang expressed his gratitude to UM for its continued support to the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone, and hoped to strengthen exchanges and cooperation through this visit, so as to promote the mutual development of both parties. Wu Jianzhong, Bai Yan, and heads from both parties had in-depth exchanges on issues such as archives and library work, information management, scholars page construction, and service innovation. After the meeting, the guests visited the UM Gallery, Museum of Arts, Rare Books Collection, UM Scholars Collection, Manuscript Corner and the UM Archives.
