In the morning of 21 June 2024, a delegation from the Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association visited the University of Macau. Huang Hong (Honorary Advisor of Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association, Director of the Overseas Chinese, Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress), Tian Chunhua (Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Shanghai Pudong New Area), Sun Mingli (Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Jing’an District, Shanghai), Shi Yin (Director of the Overseas Chinese, Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress), Zhou Jun (Officer of the association) and Chen Wei (Officer of the association), accompanied by Ding Fang (President of the Macau Greater Bay Area Cultural Tourism Association), visited the UM Gallery, library, rare book collection, etc. Carol Wong Kei (Director of UM Rector’s Office), Wu Jianzhong (UM Librarian), and Wilson Hoi (Functional Head of Special Collection of the UM Library) received the visiting guests and held discussions on university development, cooperation, exchanges, and library services.
