The 2024 Textbook and Academic Book Fair was held at the University of Macau Library from 20 to 22 August 2023. The book fair was co-organized by the University of Macau Library and the Plaza Cultural Macau. It aimed to promote academic publications, encourage local academic exchanges, and make acquiring latest textbooks and academic books from renowned publishers easier for students. 

The opening ceremony was held in the morning of 20 August 2024. The officiating guests included Dr. Wu Jianzhong (University Librarian of UM Library), Dr. Raymond Wong (Associate University Librarian of UM Library),  Mr. Billy Leung (Assistant University Librarian of UM Library), Ms. Priscilla Pun (Functional Head of UM Library), Dr. Henry Yang (Functional Head of UM Library), and Mr. Chan U Ion (General Manager of Plaza Cultural Macau), and more than ten representatives of exhibitors from all over the world. The book fair was supported by many well-known publishers and booksellers around the world, such as Bloomsbury Publishing, Cambridge University Press, Clarivate, EBSCO Information Service, Elsevier, GOBI Library Solution from EBSCO, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, ProQuest, Sage, Springer, Taylor & Francis, World Scientific. More than 2,000 kinds of books were exhibited, which included print and electronic textbooks and academic books.
