University of Macau Library Colleague Chan Chi Wing Participates in ‘Macao Youth's View of the Motherland’ Presentation (2024/10/31)

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, the "Macau Youth visiting the Motherland" presentation was held on the evening of October 24 at the Central School of Communist Youth League of China. This event was organized under the guidance of Hong Kong and Macau Work Office of the CPC Central Committee, Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council, the Macau SAR Government, All-China Youth Federation, and The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR.
Over 50 Macau youths were invited to share their stories of growing up alongside the motherland, expressing their deep affection for it. Chan Chi Weng Staty from our library delivered a speech in the program "Moving Forward Together with a Chinese Heart," in his role as as a Special Collection librarian, hoping to use ancient texts as a connection to unite more friends, be a guardian of these books, and tell the world great stories of Chinese rare book culture.
