The exhibition “Winds of Confluence: The Story of Macao in the Historical Archives of the Ming and Qing Dynasties”, a collaboration between the University of Macau and the First Historical Archives of China, has garnered widespread acclaim since its debut. Due to overwhelming public enthusiasm, the exhibition, originally scheduled to close on March 31st, will now be extended through July 20th.
This captivating display delves into the historical archives of the Ming and Qing dynasties, vividly illuminating Macao’s rich historical journey. It has captured the attention of diverse sectors of Macao society and earned praise from scholars both locally and abroad. Many residents and academics have returned multiple times to immerse themselves in its compelling narratives. With over 100,000 visitors to date, the exhibition reflects a profound community interest in Macao’s cultural and historical heritage.
In response to this enthusiastic support, the University of Macau and the First Historical Archives of China are delighted to extend the exhibition, offering even more opportunities for audiences to explore Macao’s storied past.
