Dear All,
In addition to purchasing commercially available databases, the University Library has also developed its own databases, customized to meet the specific requirements of members of the university community for teaching and research. The following new databases are two recent examples.
(1) 500+ Selected Books on China, 18th - Early 20th Century
To meet the research needs of our faculty members for resources concerning China and Asia, especially those from the 18th to early 20th century, the Library has developed an in-house full-text database. This database consists of books in Western languages on China published during 18th to early 20th Century. It covers the subject areas of history, religion, international relations, language and literature, social life and so on. Up to now, there are 500 books included in this database. More relevant books will be added on an ongoing basis.

Or, you may also check the books in this database from the Library Catalog.
(2) Macau Music
The Library has cooperated with Teledifusao de Macau (TDM) to build up a database for popular songs created in Macau. Via the database, you could listen to most of the locally created songs that had been submitted to TDM for radio broadcasting in recent years. Please note that the database is for our UM members' internal listening only and not for commercial use. It will be under ongoing enhancement.
