In order to strengthen the library's support and services to the university's residential colleges and promote further cooperation, Mr. Billy Leung Tak Hoi, the Assistant University Librarian of the University Library, led the liaison librarians for Residential College and related functional heads to visit the 10 residential colleges in the university one by one from June to July 2023.

During the visit, the library representatives had cordial and fruitful exchanges with the College Master and their colleagues. Mr. Billy Leung expressed his gratitude to the Colleges for their support and active cooperation. He introduced the main library resources and services, and listened to the expectations and suggestions of the College Master for the Library. An in-depth discussion on the arrangement of activities had been carried out for the new academic year and future cooperation projects, including setting up library booths and organizing related activities in the college during the orientation, holding various forms of information literacy workshops, themed book fairs, cultural lectures and reading clubs throughout the year, organizing e-book reading machine tours, etc. These all aimed to promote students' reading literacy, information literacy and innovation ability. Some college members expressed their interest in the student activity of "Being a Librarian for a Day" proposed by the library, hoping to deepen students' understanding and experience of the library through the activity.

The University Library is committed to provide literature resources and services for the teaching, learning and research of the University, and has dedicated library liaison librarians for all faculties and residential colleges of the University to maintain close contact and cooperation. The visit to the colleges strengthened the communication and cooperation between the colleges and the Library. The Library also looks forward to provide students with more diversified learning activities through its rich resources and services, so as to support the whole-person education of the colleges, and to enhance students' academic ability while enhancing their understanding of University culture and social responsibility.
