Library News: Full archive of South China Morning Post is now available online (2015/01/15)
Dear All,

South China Morning Post (SCMP) is the leading and largest-circulating English newspaper published in Hong Kong. It carries a wide coverage of news, reports, and analysis of the region and the world, and therefore is a very useful resource for teaching and research.

In order to enable our users to have easier access to SCMP, we are pleased to inform you that the Library has recently acquired the online access rights of this newspaper from its origin in 1903 up to and including 1995, with searchable entirety of the newspaper including advertisements, editorials, cartoons, and photographs that illuminate history as much as the news articles. To access to the resource, please click http://search.proquest.com/hnpsouthchinamorningpost/news/fromDatabasesLayer?accountid=12206

Meanwhile, as announced in the earlier Library News in March 2014 (see http://library.umac.mo/html/lib_news/display_libnews.asp?getnewside=435 ), UM members are entitled to access to SCMP's 10 current years' contents at its platform http://www.scmp.com  For the full library holding of SCMP, please refer to our Library Catalog at http://umaclib3.umac.mo/record=b1112903~S10.
