Re-schedule of Book Approval Plan Presentation at 11:30 am Tomorrow (2007/04/16)

Book Approval Plan Presentation (Re-schedule)
Mr. Stephen Pugh from YBP Library Services
Tomorrow Morning at 11:30 am (instead of 10:30 am)
Orientation Room 1, Lobby Floor of UM Library

Dear All,

As some of the academic staff will join the Consultation Session on "University of Macau 10-Year Strategic Plan" at 10:00 am tomorrow, we have now decided to re-schedule the Book Approval Plan Presentation to 11:30 am instead of the originally-scheduled 10:30 am. For other details, please see the following message --

The Book Approval Plan Presentation from Blackwell's held earlier in the Library was very useful for those of you who took the time to attend, and we would like to thank you for your participation. Your interest in this project is very encouraging and has made a good beginning for the approval plan.

However, we understand that some of you who would like to join the presentation had missed it since you had classes or other commitments on the same day. In order to let all of you know more about the library book approval plan, the Library has scheduled another Book Approval Plan Presentation with YBP Library Services as follows:

Speaker: Mr. Stephen Pugh, Senior Vice President, International Division, YBP Library Services
Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m.
Date: 17 April (Tuesday)
Venue: Orientation Room 1, Lobby Floor, UM Library

We intend to do a pilot study first to see if this Plan can be used for our Library. Therefore, for the initial stage, only 3 Faculties (FBA, FSH, FST) will be included. If the Plan is proved to be effective, we will extend it to all Faculties.

All of you are welcome to the presentation. Don't miss this presentation again. It will let you obtain the newly published books timely and yet free from form-filling and recommendation procedures.

Should you have any questions, please call Ms Priscilla Pun at Ext. 8167 or email: nipun@umac.mo.

Regards,
UM Library
