Priscilla Pun presents in 2021 Annual Meeting of Council on East Asian Libraries (CEAL) (2021/03/19)

 

Priscilla Pun of the UM Library presented in a session of the Annual Meeting of Council on East Asian Libraries (CEAL) on 17 March 2021 with the topic Experience of the UM Library during COVID-19 Pandemic: Rethinking from the Collections, and exchanged ideas and experiences with the librarians from the East Asian libraries in the U.S.  

The Session theme was on the Library Collection Development in Global Pandemic. During the same session of the Annual Meeting, Director Long Xiao of Shanxi University Library introduced 10 library cases in the mainland China on the theme. Director Kuang-hua Chen of Taiwan University Library and Director Martin Heijdra from East Asian Library and the Gest Collection of Princeton University presented their practices and insights during the pandemic as well. There were over 100 librarians in the U.S. participating in the Session online simultaneously. The objectives of CEAL are to serve as a discussion forum and promote interlibrary cooperation in East Asian librarianship in the U.S. and worldwide.
