The University of Macau Library has sent Representatives to attend the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau University Library Alliance (GHMULA) Youth Scholars Forum 2021 (2021/11/29)

 

Representatives from the University of Macau Library went to Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen University to participate in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Library Alliance (GHMULA) Youth Scholars Forum 2021 from November 22 to 23. This forum focused on the service innovation and further cooperation prospects of university libraries in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau. All participants have shared many innovative thoughts and experiences on information technology, literacy, education, and development. The forum was held on-site and online successfully for over 150 experts and representatives from the member libraries to join. Fong Ka Kin, head of the Division of Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, has attended the opening to appreciate all the alliance's works.

 

Three representatives from the University of Macau Library have presented their professional topics in the forum. They are Strengthening researchers' data literacy - the perspective of academic publishing by Ip Man Sang, Deepen professional cooperation and promote resource sharing –Portuguese resource platform among the Macao Special Administrative Region, Portuguese-speaking countries, and the Mainland of China by Hoi Wai Tat, and The Importance of Library Collaboration in the Alchemy of Macau Fortune-telling Study Editions by Chan Chi Wing. Dr. Jiangzhong Wu, the Librarian of the University of Macau Library and the Vice-Chair of GHMULA, also gave a prospective summary at the end of the forum.
