The UM Library launches "Professor Billy So Research Reference Collection" (2022/10/14)

In early 2022, the former Vice-Rector (Student Affairs) of the University of Macau and well-known historian, Professor Billy So, gave nearly 10,000 pages of his personal reference materials to the UM Library. These materials, collected by Professor So during his research and teaching, include copied books, journals, archives, etc. Teaching materials that have passed the copyright retrospective period, such as the "Japanese Elementary School Textbook" and "Experimental Japanese Self-cultivation Book" published around 1900, are relatively complete. With the consent of Professor So, the UM Library catalogued these materials and compiled them into a "Professor Billy So Research Reference Collection". The printed copies are placed at the Zone A, 2/F of the Library for reference and borrowing. Readers can also find the bibliographic data and some scanned copies of the Collection on the UM Library website.
