Dear All,

To commemorate the centenary of the Xinhai Revolution and also to cultivate a learning atmosphere on campus for general education, the University Library has organized the following activities. All are welcome!

(1) "Righteous Blood and Loyal Heart -- A Photo Exhibition of the Xinhai Revolution in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao"
This exhibition is jointly presented by UM Library and Sun Yat-Sen Library of Guangdong Province. It opens from 10:00am to 6:00pm at Anthony S.W. Lau Exhibition Hall of the Library until 27 November 2011.

The exhibition items are mainly of historical material pertaining to the Xinhai Revolution, such as government documents, receipts of donation, newspapers, postcards and so on. Moreover, there are also some books of UM Library’s collection on the subject of the revolution on show in the exhibition.

(2) Talk on "The Illustrated Catalogue Analysis of Modern China"
In order to have our users gained better understanding of modern Chinese history, two scholars, Dr. Steven K. Luk from The Commercial Press (H.K.) LTD. and Prof. Chow Kai Wing from Department of History, Hong Kong Baptist University are invited by the Library to give a talk at 3:00pm - 4:30pmon 16 November 2011 at our library.
