Dear all,

The “Contest of Chinese Translation of University of Macau Library Slogan” has been successfully concluded. It is our honor to have Prof. Shan Wen-Jing, Dean of FED to be the Chair of the Panel of Judges, whereas Prof. Zeng Linliang, Dean of FLL, Prof. Zhang Meifang of Department of English, FSH and Dr. Paul W.T. Poon, the University Librarian as members of the Panel.

Out of more than a hundred entries submitted, many of which are of very high standard, the Panel has selected 3 entries as the grand prize for the “Best Slogan Translation Awards”. In addition, it also has selected 2 more pieces as first and second prize in the student group and 3 as the first, second and third prize in the staff group. 

The Award Ceremony will be held on 6 December 2007 (Thursday) at 3:00 p.m. at Auditorium II of the Library. All are welcome to attend.

The results are as follows:

“Grand Prize” winners will receive an award certificate and MOP1,000 bookstore gift vouchers.
“First Prize” winners will receive an award certificate and MOP800 bookstore gift vouchers.
“Second Prize” winners will receive an award certificate and MOP500 bookstore gift vouchers.
“Third Prize” winner will receive an award certificate and MOP300 bookstore gift vouchers.
