Launching of the Online Orientation Program (2007/01/29)

Dear All,

Welcome back to the second semester of the year!

We are pleased to announce the launching of the innovative Online Orientation Program which is a web-based orientation to the Library’s services, resources and facilities. There are three sections in this program in addition to the Quiz:

1. Getting Started -- It provides a brief introduction together with the table of contents, which offers direct links to each module of this Program.
2. About the Library -- It provides basic information about the Library as well as its resources and services.

3. Tutorials -- It guides users by animated demonstrations. These are divided into three parts; namely Search Skills, Finding the Information, and Citations.

Quiz -- It is a quick and fun way to evaluate your understanding of the topics covered in this Program.

It will take about 40 minutes to finish the whole orientation program. After that, you are encouraged to spend a few minutes to take the Quiz. If you pass the Quiz, you will be awarded a certificate online.

All of you are welcome to visit the Online Orientation Program at the Library’s homepage. This Program is not intended as comprehensive, but just as an initial phase in guiding the library search. Your feedbacks are surely helpful to us in the further improvement and development. Should you have any comments or suggestions about the Program, please feel free to send an e-mail to lib_ref@umac.mo.

Thank you for your kind attention!

Regards,

UM Library
