The 100-year-old University of Hong Kong Libraries has a rich collection of books and has cultivated many talents around the world. The cooperation between University of Macau Library and The University of Hong Kong Libraries has been keeping close and uninterrupted for a long time.

In order to deepen our cooperation, the University of Macau Library invited the University Librarian of the University of Hong Kong Peter Sidorko, the Deputy University Librarian Esther Woo and the Faculty Librarian Kitman Chan to visit UM Library and UM Gallery on September 13, 2018. After visiting our campus, the guests gave high praise to our University. University Librarian Dr. Wu Jianzhong, Associate University Librarian Dr. Raymond Wong, Functional Head Billy Leung and Priscilla Pun, and the guests had in-depth talks and reached a number of cooperation intentions, including the "18th Library Leadership Institute Training Course" jointly organized by the two libraries from March 31 to April 4 next year.

This event was held in the UM Library in 2005. The participants were from Greater China and Southeast Asia. The courses had a profound impact on the participants. Many graduates have become the heads of libraries in various regions. In addition, the two libraries also plan to hold the "Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area Information Literacy Workshop" at The University of Hong Kong Libraries in the summer of next year. They hope to share their experience in promoting library information literacy through seminars, visiting and internships, and further provide information education.
