Library News -- Opening of the Artwork Corner of the University of Macau Library (2019/09/20)

The opening ceremony of the Artwork Corner at the University of Macau Library and its first painting and calligraphy exhibition was held in the afternoon of 18 September 2019. Over 50 calligraphers and calligraphy lovers attended the event. Master Lin Ka Sang, Chairman of the Macao Calligraphers Association and Dr. Wu Jianzhong, Librarian of the UM Library, unveiled the nameplate of the Artwork Corner. At the ceremony, Dr. Wu thanked Master Lin and the artists for their generous donations of paintings and calligraphy to the UM Library and their support throughout these years. Vice president of the Macau International Association of Artists of Poetry, Couplet, Calligraphy and Painting congratulated the UM Library with a poetry performance.
The Artwork Corner is located on the second floor of the library. This corner will hold a variety of art exhibitions and activities from time to time, and become a platform for exchanges between artists from Macao and UM members, and between artists and amateurs.
